Azerbaijani MP imprisoned for two months - UPDATED

As APA reports, Gulnara Tagizade, Judge of Nasimi district, made decision to change the preventive measures against Huseyn Abdullayev for the period of two months.

General Prosecutor's Office press secretary Eldar Efendiyev told the APA. He said that Abdullayev was called to General Prosecutor's Office according to the appeal of Fazail Agamali and was released after necessary investigative actions were taken about him.

Criminal case has been launched on Huseyn Abdullayev on Article 221.2.2 (hooliganism) and 132 (beating) of the Criminal Code.

Huseyn Abdullayev's parliamentary immunity has been annulled in today's sitting of the Parliament.

Reports about Huseyn Abdullayev's arrest for the incident during 16 March sitting of the parliament spread at about 11.00 today.

According to some reports, Huseyn Abdullayev was detained in Icherisheher on his way to the OSCE Office in Baku.

His detention is related to the March 16 incident with MP Fazail Agamali at the Parliament's meeting, APA reports.
