ANAMA clears Azerbaijani territories from mines and ordinances

2074785sq.m areas of Azerbaijani territory were cleared from mines and unexploded ordinances (UXO) and 33565 UXO have been rendered harmless in February, Azerbaijani National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) told.

25 mine detection dogs, 156 sappers, 47 UXO operators, eight paramedics, over 100 assistants and 12 mechanical demining flail and five mine clear machines participated in the operation. ANAMA reports that two incident happened within last month.

As APA reports, 45346980sq.m areas of Azerbaijani territories have been cleared from mines and unexploded ordinances and 139212 UXO have been neutralized up to now.

51 people died and 121 people injured since September of last year.
