Government to present third recurring report to UN Committee against Torture

President Ilham Aliyev decreed on preparing the third recurring reports on Azerbaijan's fulfilling commitments corresponding to UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment and presenting it to UN Committee against Torture on behalf of Azerbaijan.

Working group has been established to prepare the third recurring report, APA reports.

The working group headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, includes Deputy Interior Minister Oruj Zalov, Ali Shiraliyev acting as Deputy Minister of National Security, Deputy Defence Minister Chingiz Mammadov, Deputy Justice Minister Nazim Alekberov, Deputy Prosecutor General Rustam Usubov, Deputy Health Minister Senan Kerimov, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Defence of Population Natig mamadov and Deputy chief of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children issues Sadagat Gahramanova.

The working should prepare the report project in three months and present it to the President.
