Ambassador Mehdiyev presents his credentials to UN Secretary General

The newly appointed permanent representative of the Azerbaijan Republic to the United Nations, ambassador Agshin Mehdiyev on November 30 has presented his credentials to the Secretary General of this Organization Kofi Annan.

Noting that cooperation with the United Nations is of great importance for the country, Mr. Mehdiyev conveyed kind greetings of President Ilham Aliyev to Kofi Annan, expressed confidence for further cooperation.

UN Secretary General thanked for warm words, noting he is aware of the alterations in Azerbaijan, great changes and progress in the country. He expressed hope for strengthening the mutual relations between Azerbaijan and UN. AzerTAg
