Garegin organizes three-day sabbath

Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II is convening the Episcopal Council, the supreme governing body of the Church, after one of its recent sessions failed to take place due to the absence of several bishops.

The agenda includes a matter diplomatically described as “the situation surrounding the Church.” Given the complexity of the issue, the Council is expected to meet for three days.

Relatives of the Council participants have been advised to leave Etchmiadzin for the duration of the sessions in order to ensure a calm and secure environment.
