The Armenian opposition media express perplexity: why is the
next leader of the nation, fighter to the end, thinker and father of Armenian
democracy Bagrat Vorobyaninov Galstanyan silent?
Some hoped that after his arrest, Galstanyan would become a
symbol of resistance, like Nelson Mandela — with notes, books, a triumphant
return, and perhaps even a Nobel Prize.
However, in reality, nothing like this happened. Bagrat
faced serious pressure and stopped coming to the fore. The opposition is
already looking for a new leader, Samvel Karapetyan.
But he is also under arrest.
