Azerbaijani and Italian Justice Ministers sign a protocol

An executive protocol on cooperation was signed between the Ministers of Justice of Azerbaijan and Italy at the meeting of the Ministers in the Ministry's Central Apparatus March 30.

As Trend reports, the Azerbaijani Minister of Justice, Fikret Mammedov told his Italian counterpart, Roberto Castelli that successful cooperation between two countries was rapidly developing. The Italian Minister was informed about the democratic reforms that were taking place in the country, including progressive judicial-legislative reforms. Perspectives of the bilateral cooperation were discussed.

Castelli has expressed his gratitude for the invitation and underlined the fact that Italy highly appreciated the cooperation with Azerbaijan, and exchange of opinions especially in legal and judicial areas.

An executive protocol on cooperation between the Ministries of the two countries has been signed at the end of the meeting. The document includes different cooperation in different areas - experience exchange in the judicial and petition practice, cooperation in application of the informational technologies and other arrangements.

Both Ministers have expressed the sincere hope to expand the cooperation between the countries. They have also underlined the importance of the signed document.

After the ceremony guests paid a visit to the Heydar Aliyev Museum and Museum of justice, located at the Ministry, which also includes expositions on Azerbaijani–Italian cooperation.
