Azerbaijani State Border Service's residential buildings constructed in liberated Jabrayil

The State Border Service of Azerbaijan has opened service residential buildings in Jabrayil District.

Azernews reports referring to the State Border Service, at the opening ceremony, Col-Gen Elchin Guliyev, the head of the State Border Service, gave a speech before the apartments were inspected. After the event, commemorative photos were taken.

On October 4, 2020, President Ilham Aliyev announced the liberation of the city of Jabrayil and several villages of the district from the occupation. Thus, the villages of Karkhulu, Shukurbayli, Yukhari Maralyan, Charakan, Dashkasan, Horovlu, Mahmudlu, Jafarabad, and Dajal were also retaken by the glorious Azerbaijani Army.

During the 44-day military operations, Azerbaijan defeated the Armenian armed forces and liberated Jabrayil, Gubadli, Zangilan, and Fuzuli districts, a major part of the Khojavand district, and a number of villages of Lachin District from the 30-year Armenian occupation. In the reporting period, five cities, four settlements, 286 villages, and numerous strategic heights were retaken.

On November 8, 2020, after 28 years of longing, the city of Shusha, which is of great significance to the Azerbaijani people, was liberated from occupation. After that, Armenia had no other choice but to sign the act of surrender.

On November 10, 2020, Azerbaijani, Russian and Armenian leaders signed a joint ceasefire statement. In his address to the people, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev noted that this statement is actually a military surrender of Armenia. Under the terms of surrender, the occupying forces of Armenia left the Aghdam District on November 20, Kalbajar District on November 25, and Lachin District on December 1, 2020.

Currently, rapid reconstruction and restoration activities are underway in Karabakh and East Zangazur.
