The looting of Azerbaijan's natural resources has significantly accelerated, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on December 23 in Moscow, Trend reports.

"The Karabakh region of Azerbaijan is very rich in minerals. There are a total of 151 mineral deposits in this region. Of 151 fields, 52 fields were first exploited between 1993 and 2020. There was an absolutely illegal, barbaric plundering of Azerbaijan's natural resources. Huge damage has been done to the ecology of Azerbaijan," he said.
