US Embassy released a statement condemning police actions against opposition on November 26

Embassy of the United States of America to Azerbaijan condemned police actions against the protest action of the opposition on November 26.

"We condemn police violance against followers of "Azadliq" Bloc and consider it impossible to use force against citizens trying to peacefully enjoy their right to assembly freely. We call the authority to carry out an investigation and to punish those who are responsible for the happenings. We also call all Azerbaijani citizens to show patience in such a tense post-election situation," reads the statement of the Embassy.
