The International Crisis Group fully agrees with the OSCE statement on Elections

"The International Crisis Group fully agrees with the OSCE statement on the elections held in Azerbaijan," stated the director of the "Caucasian project" of the International Crisis Group (ICG) Sabina Frazer at a press-conference held today.

S.Frazer saying that she witnessed some law violations at the polling station she conducted observation in on the Election Day, informed that a person put several ballot papers into a box, the protocol had not been given to observers: "The protocol is very important in the elections. This document was given to observers later and during that period some of them were forged. If the document is forged, then the opinion of the people is not reflected in a democratic form".

S.Frazer highly valued nullification of the results of some election constituencies by the Central Election Commission and dismissal of executive heads intervened in the election process by the president after the elections: "I consider that it is important to review and adjudicate all complaint in time".

S.Frazer said that ICG report on Azerbaijan will be published next week. According to her words, reforms implemented during the period of authority of Ilham Aliyev, situation before and after the parliamentary elections will be reflected in the report.
