R?na Safaraliyeva: “Anti-corruption legal advice center, second in Azerbaijan, to open in Gyanja”

The Anti-corruption Legal Advice Centre (ALAC) will be opened in Gyanja in the coming weeks, the executive director of the Transparency Azerbaijan organization Rena Safaraliyeva told on 20 July in Baku at the opening ceremony of the country’s first anti-corruption center.
Safaraliyeva noted also that the project for ALAC setting up will be carried on and after Gyanja the anti-corruption center is planned to be opened in one of the administrative centers in the south of Azerbaijan.

In regard to the principle of these centers functioning, the Transparency Azerbaijan executive director noted, that the ALAC employees will collect information on corruption, as well as render legal consultative services by means of the 24-hour hot line  (088 707 07 07).

All telephone calls from the territory of Azerbaijan are free of charge. The consultations will be held by the ALAC staff lawyer.

 It should be noted, that the anti-corruption center is set up by the US International Development Agency (USAID), the American Lawyers Association and the legal initiative in Central Europe and Eurasia (AHA/MAAHT) under he support of the Transparency Azerbaijan organization.
