Armenian forces shelling Azerbaijani settlements

Armenian armed forces from the Aghdere direction are subjecting the territory of the Naftalan, Tartar and Goranboy regions to rocket fire using multiple launch rocket systems, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry reported today.

Earlier, the ministry reported the shelling of human settlements in the territories of the Terter and Barda regions.

Armenian forces who lost combat positions and was forced to retreat, are also subjecting the territory of the Gubadli region of Azerbaijan to artillery fire from the direction of the Goris region of Armenia, The Defence Ministry reported.

The purpose of this provocation of the Armenian side is to provoke the Azerbaijan Army to retaliate, the ministry said.
