29 June 2005 [08:00] - TODAY.AZ
“The state officials will receive the representatives of the non-governmental organizations in these days. Participation of NGOs in the elections, and generally the situation of III sector will be discussed in the meeting”.
These words were told to APA by the president of the National Non-Governmental Organizations Forum (NNGOF) Azay Guliyev.

He informed that different measures were conducted in the frame of the campaign they held in connection with removing the paragraphs not allowing them to observe the elections from the legislation and meetings with the representatives of the president were carried out.

The NGO representatives met with the director of the public-political department of the President’s Office Ali Hasanov and the director of the legislation and juridical examination questions department Shahin Aliyev last week: “Both state officials agreed to our offers. They informed that the NGO representatives and the representatives of the government should hold meetings often, and the questions and problems of the III sector should be discussed”.

The NNGOF president said that they started the campaign for arresting state’s attention to these questions: “I consider that we have already achieved our wish. This question was paid much attention. We would like meeting to be conducted in the president’s level with the NGO representatives. We hope that such meeting will also be possible”.
