Azeri citizens aged 18 to 60 to be mobilized

Azerbaijani citizens aged 18 to 60 years will be attracted to mobilization.
Despite equal rights entitled by the Constitution, women will not be attracted to mobilization.

The ideas were sounded in  a parliamentary sitting on Tuesday while discussing the draft law on 'Mobilization and  preparations for mobilization' in the second reading, Trend reports.       
Vice Speaker Ziyafat Asgarov, who submitted the bill to the parliament, said that following the first reading some changes and supplements were injected the document and it was unified with the international standards. Asgarov said that the law defines the age sense for the mobilization of the military. It is set at 45 for warrant officers and junior officers, majors, lieutenant colonels and officers corresponding the title, 55 - for high-ranking officers - major generals, rear admiral, lieutenant generals, vice admirals, and 60 - for colonel generals. No limits were set for army generals.

After the discussions the draft law on Mobilization and preparations for mobilization, comprised of 7 chapters and 19 articles was adopted. The law regulates a mechanism of mobilization and preparations, defines the rights, obligations and responsibility of the executive bodies, local self- government bodies, as well as Azerbaijani citizens in this sphere.
