T.Giske while expressing the objective of his visit said that he came to Azerbaijan for familiarizing himself with pre-election condition. Expressing his satisfaction of the level of mutual cooperation between Norway and Azerbaijan, appreciated the efforts of the sides for expanding the relation in future positively. He also expressed his confidence that the parliamentary elections in this autumn will be held in fair, open and democratic atmosphere.

It must be noted that, Norwegian parliamentarian met the leaders of opposition parties yesterday.
Yesterday he held meeting with head of socio-political Department of President's Office Ali Hasanov, deputy Prime Minister Mahmud Mammedguliyev and Commissioner (Ombudsman) on Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova.
