26 April 2005 [14:16] - TODAY.AZ
"I do not believe revolution to happen in oil country like Azerbaijan, the leader of the Adalet party, Ilyas Ismaylov, told Trend.
According to Ismayilov, the revolutions will not happen even if the results of the parliamentary elections are falsified. Besides, outside forces, that possesses considerable amounts of hydrocarbons, will not be so active in the country.

"The developments in Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan were not revolution, but changes in the governments. Outside forces played a leading role in the process. I do not believe such a scenario to be a success in Azerbaijan. Unlike them, Azerbaijan has oil, which the foreigners want to export securely. They want the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipeline to be safe," he noted.

The Adalet leader does not find correct to display discontent on actions the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Rino Harnish, who has met with leaders of the opposition parties in districts. The Ambassador may meet with whoever and wherever he wants. "The US-Azerbaijani relations should not be damaged," he underlined.
