Saida Gojamanli: 45 political prisoners are still imprisoned

Agency Trend reports, human right defender Saida Gojamanli said.

She said, according to the previous list with names of 716 political prisoners arrested in 1994-2001, 45 persons are still in imprisonment.

Three persons from the number of persons arrested as a result of events after presidential elections of 2003 are still in prison. "Secretary General of the Council of Europe Walter Schiwimmer stated, if at least one political prisoner is in prison, then this problem is not solved.

We do not submit every time new lists to international organizations, and we are not adherents of this. Simply, we demand release of 45 persons, who are imprisoned by old list and 3 prisoners on elections", S.Gojamanli added.
