Steynar Gil welcomed the release of prisoners imprisoned during the October 15-16 riots

This was told to APA by ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Azerbaijan Steynar Gil. The ambassador highly appreciated the steps taken in the direction of implementation of oil strategy which have been organized according to the interests of each country. Talking about the solution of the matter of the political prisoners, the ambassador welcomed the release of persons imprisoned during the October 15-16 riots.

However, Steynar Gil said that, there still remain unsolved points concerning the political prisoner problem in the country and Council of Europe should keep these matters under control.
