First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended opening of building for orphanage and boarding-school graduates, orphanage-kindergartens - PHOTOS

Azerbaijan`s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Arzu Aliyeva have attended the opening of the orphanage-kindergarten No136 in the capital`s Badamdar settlement after major overhaul.

The Azerbaijan`s First Lady viewed the photos reflecting previous look of the building.

Head of the Sabail Executive Authorities Asif Asgarov informed First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva on the condition created in the orphanage-kindergarten after the reconstruction. The reconstruction of the facility started in June, 2013, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The orphanage-kindergarten was built in 1969 and has never been repaired. The kindergarten consists of 3 corps. The kindergarten will handle up to 150 children from 2 to 6 ages in 8 groups.

The facility has 28 rooms, music and game halls, a medical point, a kitchen and auxiliary rooms.

The facility is provided with all necessary equipment.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation presented the kindergarten with furniture, refrigerators, TVs, toys and other necessary things.

The yard of the kindergarten has also been renovated, and pavilions, entertainment and sports equipments were installed here for the rest of the children. A special ground was laid in the yard in order to teach children the traffic rules. According to the new project, every design works have been done in all three corps.

Mrs. Aliyeva cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the facility. Azerbaijan`s First Lady viewed the photo stand reflecting the previous and current look of the kindergarten.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the First Lady that the orphanage-kindergarten was built in 1967. The two-storey building was reconstructed under the “State Program on socio-economic development of the city of Baku and its suburbs in 2011-2013”. All conditions have been created here for children.

The kindergarten will handle up to 230 children from 2 to 6 ages.

First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva was informed that the facility consists of 68 apartments. The apartments were provided with the all necessary equipment.

They had a joint tea party with the apartments` receivers.
