President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Chief Executive Officer of Statoil Helge Lund.

The Head of State hailed long-term partnership between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and Statoil as a good indicator of the cooperation.

President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of new projects between SOCAR and Statoil.
Helge Lund noted the role of stability in Azerbaijan in terms of development of oil and gas industry in the country.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for cooperation between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and Statoil.

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has today received Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevicius.

They underlined the importance of holding the World Economic Forum in Baku.

The Azerbaijani leader and the Lithuanian PM praised development of bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of strengthening these ties.

During the meeting, they noted trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Lithuania was rapidly growing.

President Ilham Aliyev and Premier Algirdas Butkevicius also discussed expansion of the bilateral cooperation in a variety of fields, including investment making and energy.

During the meeting, they underlined the importance of holding the World Economic Forum in Baku.
The Azerbaijani leader and the Albanian PM said this event created good opportunities for discussing the expansion of economic cooperation.

They also noted bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Albania were developing successfully.
