Azerbaijani FM receives Canadian officials

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has received a Canadian parliamentary delegation led by Presiding Officer of the House of Commons and Chairman of Azerbaijan-Canada Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Barry Devolin.

Mammadyarov praised the Azerbaijan-Canada relations. He underlined the effectiveness of parliamentary relations, and stressed the importance of intensifying mutual exchanges.

Devolin praised Azerbaijan`s economic development. He stressed there were huge opportunities for expansion of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Canada in various areas, particularly in agriculture and oil and gas sectors.

Devolin noted the importance of tolerance and multiculturalism traditions in Azerbaijan.
