President Ilham Aliyev receives Premier of Kuwait

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today received Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

The President praised the Azerbaijan-Kuwait cooperation, saying it was developing in different areas.

The Head of State expressed confidence the visit by Prime Minister of Kuwait, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheykh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah would contribute to strengthening the bilateral relations in the political, economic, trade and cultural fields.

President Ilham Aliyev said he believed partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait would continue developing in the years to come.
Al-Hamad Al-Sabah offered greetings of Kuwait of Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the Azerbaijani leader, and handed over his letter to him.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait stressed the role of the joint interparliamentary commission in expanding the cooperation between the two countries. He said his visit was a good opportunity for holding discussions on future development of the bilateral relations.
Al-Hamad Al-Sabah touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying Kuwait supported Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity. He stressed the importance of fulfillment of the resolutions of the UN Security Council.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait said there was great potential for expanding the cooperation between the two countries` public institutions.

President Ilham Aliyev asked the Deputy Prime Minister to convey his greetings to the Emir of Kuwait.
The Head of State recalled his meeting with Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, noting the importance of high-level reciprocal visits.

The Azerbaijani President and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait stressed the necessity of expanding the interparliamentary cooperation. They also noted the significance of joint infrastructure projects as well as mutual support of the two countries in international organizations.
