
Vice-speaker of Azerbaijan National Assembly Valeh Alasgarov yesterday a delegation of the South Korean National Assembly.
Alasgarov said relationship between Azerbaijan and Korea were developing in all spheres. He noted reciprocal visits contribute to expanding bilateral ties. He stressed Azerbaijan`s role in ensuring energy security of Europe. The vice-speaker noted agriculture was developing in Azerbaijan as well, adding the country fully ensures itself with agricultural products.
Alasgarov also briefed the delegation on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which he said poses a serious threat to security of the region and Europe. He added official Yerevan does not honor decisions and resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council, the Council of Europe and other international organizations on settlement of the conflict.
Member of the Korean National Assembly Joo Ho-young praised the hospitality of the Azerbaijani people. Joo Ho-young said during his student years he read books on Azerbaijan and knows a lot about the country`s rich culture and national values.
Joo Ho-young noted last year Baku successfully hosted “Eurovision” song contest. He added the European Olympic Committee`s voting to hold the European Games in Baku proves that Azerbaijan was a reliable partner for the international community.
Joo Ho-young expressed confidence that establishment of Azerbaijan-Korea cooperation in energy, agriculture, small and medium business spheres would yield effective results.
