Azerbaijan`s Independence Day marked in Japan

A presentation on the 21st anniversary of the Independence Day of Azerbaijan has been held at the Japanese Waseda University in Tokyo. Professor of Japanese Waseda University Hiroaki Mohri briefed the participants on Azerbaijan`s regaining independence on October 18 in 1991.

He also hailed Azerbaijan`s steadily development and noted that the country became the leader of the region and gained great successes than the other USSR countries. Mr. Mohri also said that a group of students from the University would visit Azerbaijan as part of the Japan-Caucasus economic and cultural exchange program-2012.

Master of the University Emil Jafarzade delivered presentation at the event. He spoke about Azerbaijan rich culture and successes.

He noted that Azerbaijan steadily developed as a result of the successfully implementation of strategy by President Ilham Aliyev, which determined by national leader and gained achievement in the international level.

As part of the visit to Azerbaijan Japanese students will familiarize themselves with historical and cultural monuments of the country, and will hold meetings at Baku State and Azerbaijan Languages Universities.
