Baku is a good example of multiculturalism and mutual respect of religious and cultures, former Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said at the Baku International Humanitarian Forum on Thursday.
"I think it is an extremely promising opportunity, and we have absolutely an available opportunity to discuss many things in international cultural dialogue and cooperation," he said.
He said Baku is symbolic place for this event.
"It is very important for Azerbaijan, because now we see many conflicts and crises in the Mediterranean region and Middle East, including this part of the world, I mean the frozen Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," he said.
