President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on October 2 received former president of Estonia Arnold Rüütel. The sides emphasized the growing interest for the Baku International Humanitarian Forum, the importance of this international event, development of different criteria on a number of issues.
The sides also stressed the importance of the participation of representatives of different cultures and civilizations in this Forum. The meeting also focused on Azerbaijan-Estonia bilateral relations, prospects for the expansion of these relations.
Arnold Rüütel was the third President of the Republic of Estonia from October 8, 2001 to October 9, 2006. He was the second President since Estonia regained its independence in 1991.
Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has today received former President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva.
During the meeting, they noted bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan were successfully developing in a variety of fields.
The parties underlined there were large opportunities for expanding bilateral ties even more.
Roza Otunbayeva said she had eye-witnessed implementation of big infrastructure projects in Baku and Ganja since her last visit to Azerbaijan.
The former Kyrgyz President praised Azerbaijan`s economic achievements and wished further success.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received UN outgoing resident coordinator in the country Fikret Akcura.
The Head of State stressed the role of Fikret Akcura in expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations. The Azerbaijani leader praised activity of the resident coordinator in the country and wished him successes.
Fikret Akcura hailed the development processes in Azerbaijan.
He expressed satisfaction with his diplomatic mission in the country.
