Co-chairman of the Energy Security committee of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, MP Fuad Muradov will be in Brussels from 17th to 19th of September for the experts' seminar on energy security.
The seminar titled " EU-Eastern European Partners cooperation in energy security: achievements, barriers and prospects " will exchange views on the principles of cooperation in the field of energy security in Europe and in the framework of the Eastern Partnership. The main topics to be discussed - review of the energy sector in the framework of the Eastern Partnership, the strengths and weaknesses, potential and prospects of EU programs and practices, including the European Neighbourhood Policy, to maintain cooperation in the energy sector, best practices and obstacles.
The seminar will be attended by the Deputy Chairman of the MilliMejlis Valeh Aleskerov, MP Fuad Muradov and Rasim Musabekov.
During the seminar it is expected to present the reports of the European Parliament, national parliaments of the Eastern Partnership and the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly which calls for international cooperation in the energy sector.
MP Fuad Muradov will be co-chairing "Current landscape of the EU-Eastern European Partners' cooperation in the energy field and potential for future development " and "The way forward": Prospects of the energy cooperation under the Eastern Partnership" panels.
It should be noted that this workshop of the Euronest PA was proposed by the delegation of Azerbaijan. In addition, this is the first meeting - seminar of the Euronest PA.
