'EU, Azerbaijan ties are dynamically developing'

 Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has met European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Philippe Lefort.

The PM said relations between Azerbaijan and the EU were dynamically developing.
Rasizade noted these relations had great prospects in all directions, in particular economic field.

Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Premier expressed confidence that along with other international organizations, involvement of the European Union in solving this dispute would be fruitful.

Rasizade said non-constructive steps of Armenia based on separatism and terrorism wouldn`t give any results.

The PM also noted the conflict must be only settle on the basis of norms and principles of international law, Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and inviolability of borders.
Lefort noted the EU was interested in expanding cooperation with the regional countries, including Azerbaijan.

The Special Representative stressed the importance of finding a soonest solution to regional conflicts, saying the EU is ready to provide relevant assistance. During the meeting, they also discussed prospects for cooperation between the country and the organization.
