President Ilham Aliyev gets acquainted with Green Tech Ltd’s modern greenhouse complex of Azersun Holding in Bina - PHOTOS

President Ilham Aliyev today got acquainted with Green Tech Ltd’s modern greenhouse complex of Azersun Holding located in the Bina settlement of Baku’s Khazar District.

In the frame of “State Program on socio-economic development of the city of Baku and its settlements in 2011-2013s” separate industrial sites are put into operation in various settlements of capital, and carried out purposeful works in settlements and villages to improve conditions of social life of people. One of such spheres of economy is the Green Tech Ltd’s modern greenhouse complex of Azersun Holding located in the Bina settlement of Baku.

The head of state familiarized himself with a photo stand reflecting participation of great leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev in opening of the enterprises of “Azersun Holding”.

Then, the President visited separate sites of the complex. The head of state examined the site of the automated systems of irrigation. President Ilham Aliyev has been in detail informed on the modern complex. As noted, the main objective of the project which is carried out by Green Tech LTD in Azerbaijan is the further development of agrarian sphere by application of the newest western technologies, opening of new workplaces in agriculture and to provide the population with ecologically healthy vegetable productions. As is informed, the complex occupies 80 hectares of territory. With a view of project realization, the Ministry of Economic Development has allocated 5 mln AZN to the Green Tech Company.

The head of the state reviewed the site where vegetables are grown up. As noted, the newest technology and the Dutch method were applied here. The complex was constructed on the basis of technologies of the leading world companies, completely equipped by monitoring systems, heating and irrigation systems, other facilities.

Currently the Complex with 6 thousand tons of annual production capacity employs 151 people and the full staff will average 300 people in future. President Ilham Aliyev wished successes to the staff of Complex.

The employees expressed to the head of state gratitude for such a modern enterprise built in Bina settlement.

Along with internal consumption, the enterprise will export vegetable to foreign countries. Creation in Azerbaijan of such a modern hothouse meeting the advanced requirements, is an evidence to development of the non-oil sector, and also represents great importance from the point of view of increase of export potential of country.

President Ilham Aliyev gave certain instructions and wished success to the employees.
