Azerbaijani MPs to join PACE summer session

The summer session of PACE will take place in Strasbourg on June 25-29.

The delegation headed by chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Committee on International and Interparliamentary Relations, head of the permanent delegation of the Republic to the PACE Samad Seyidov, the Parliament told Trend today.

The delegation included MPs Sevinj Fataliyeva, Ganira Pashayeva, Rafael Huseynov, Sabir Hajiyev, Rovshan Rzayev, Elhan Suleymanov, Sahiba Gafarova, Fazil Mustafa, Aydin Abbasov.

The report on the conducted work of the PACE Standing Committee and the Bureau of the Assembly will be heard. The views on the impact of the economic crisis on local and regional governance in Europe, the situation with human rights in CE member-countries, the transition period in Tunisia, the improvement of the monitoring process of the
Assembly, discrimination against Muslim women in Europe and other issues will be exchanged.

Azerbaijani MPs will discuss these issues.
