Azerbaijan, NATO discuss cooperation issues

A meeting was held between NATO and Azerbaijan with the participation of certain partner countries in the committee on political affairs and partnership at NATO headquarters within the planning and review process, Azerbaijan's mission to NATO told Trend today.

The military reforms conducted in Azerbaijan, mutual cooperation and issues of compliance with NATO standards were discussed at the meeting.

Azerbaijan's contribution to NATO operations was appreciated at the meeting.

It should be stressed that this meeting was held following the visit of a group of NATO experts to Azerbaijan on April 9-13.

The representatives of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry, State Border Service, the Interior Ministry and Azerbaijan's Mission to NATO attended the meeting.
