Azerbaijan`s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva awarded “First lady of the year” prize - PHOTOS

In accordance with the poll conducted by influential Turkish magazine “Ekovitrin”, the first lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation (HAF) Mehriban Aliyeva became winner in the nomination “First lady of the year” for 2011.

Welcoming the winners and guests, the holder of the magazine Kamran Abachioglu said the poll has lasted for two months and 102 figures of politics, business, arts and science received 251,562 votes in 34 nominations.

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmaladdin Ihsanoglu and Kamran Abachioglu handed over a prize “First lady of the year” to Anar Alakbarov, the executive director of the HAF, intended for President of the Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva.
