Azerbaijani interior minister, Turkish commander hold meeting

The Azerbaijani interior minister has met with the Turkish commander of the gendarmerie forces.

Azerbaijani Interior Minister Ramil Usubov has today met with the Turkish delegation headed by Commander Bekir Kalyoncu, the ministry told Trend today.

The minister spoke with satisfaction about the relations existing between the internal bodies of the two fraternal republics, the logistical support rendered by the Turkish gendarmerie command to the Azerbaijani Interior Forces and Turkey's role in staff training.

It was stressed that over 470 military were sent to Turkish various educational institutions to improve the potential through the Interior Ministry.

Usubov expressed his confidence that Kalyoncu's visit will have a positive impact on the development of the relations of corresponding bodies of fraternal republics and the potential for cooperation and will be used effectively.

Kalyoncu expressed satisfaction with his visit. He appreciated the effective cooperation of the corresponding bodies of both countries.

He said that Turkey will always support Azerbaijan. It will spare no more funds for the development of its army and internal security forces. He said that mutual cooperation meets the interests of the two fraternal peoples.

Turkish Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic, Deputy Interior Ministers Zakir Hasanov and Asqar Alakbarov and other officials attended the meeting.
