'Azerbaijan, Ukraine need to synchronize clocks for future coop'

Azerbaijan and Ukraine need to synchronize clocks for future cooperation, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishenko told journalists in Baku.

"At present, Azerbaijan is a member of the UN Security Council, andUkraine is going to chair the OSCE in 2013, and a lot of questions on interaction of the two countries to be discussed in this context," Grishchenko said.

The minister said Kiev will pay great attention to the issue of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict during its presidency of the OSCE.

Grishchenko said the upcoming official visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Ukraine and the meeting of the presidents of the two countries, during which documents will be signed, were discussed. Energy cooperation is also an important topic of the talks in Baku,
the minister said.

"The question of Azerbaijani gas supplies to Ukraine was discussed with SOCAR and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy," Grishchenko said.
