Azerbaijani Parliament to protest against European Parliament

The Azerbaijani Parliament prepares a letter of protest against the European Parliament's resolution on human rights and democracy in the country.

The commission preparing the document, headed by Deputy Speaker Bahar Muradova, includes MPs Rabiyyat Aslanova, Azay Guliyev, Sahiba Gafarova, Fazail Ibrahimli, Faraj Guliyev, Speaker Oktay Asadov said at a parliamentary session on Tuesday.

Earlier, the head of the Azerbaijani Parliament sent a protest to chairman of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.

"The resolution on Azerbaijan "Violation of human rights, democracy and the rule of law" adopted by the European Parliament on May 24, causes regret and concern in the country," Asadov said.
