'Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to ties with Azerbaijan'

Kyrgyz leadership attaches great importance to development of relations with Azerbaijan, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said at a meeting with the Azerbaijani delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov on Monday, the press service of the Kyrgyz President said.

The Azerbaijani delegation arrived in Kyrgyzstan to attend the first meeting of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission.

Atambayev thanked the members of the delegation and noted that impetus was needed to the implementation of agreements reached during his official visit to Azerbaijan.

"I am pleased that concrete decisions on dates and deadlines were made during your visit," the president of Kyrgyzstan said.

Co-chairman of the commission Eyyubov informed the Kyrgyz President about the first meeting held in accordance with agreements between the two countries' presidents.

"President Ilham Aliyev has set the task before us so that all your joint arrangements would be implemented. We have a very wide range of further cooperation," Eyyubov said.
