Azerbaijan , Bulgaria undersign two agreements

The Prime-ministers of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria have today signed agreements on “Cooperation in fighting criminality” and “Cooperation in the field of emergency situations.” Mr. Rasizade hailed Bulgarian delegation`s visit to Azerbaijan. He said there was a big potential for boosting cooperation between the two countries.

Azeri Premier said political stability in Azerbaijan gave impetus to rapid development of economy, infrastructure, social and humanitarian fields and non-oil sector. Mr. Rasizade noted that the large-scale projects, including Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway are being implemented in Azerbaijan. The railway, which is to put into commission by the end of 2012, will increase transportation facilities between the Europe and Asia.

Artur Rasizade said during Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict, 20% of Azerbaijani lands were occupied by Armenia and more than one million people became refugees and IDPs. He said the government of Azerbaijan will develop relations with Bulgaria in all spheres.

The Bulgarian Premier said during the Baku meetings, a number of issues on boosting bilateral cooperation were discussed. He noted his country was keen to cooperate Azerbaijan in the fields of transport, construction, food and agriculture.
