Ramin Mammadov to chair World Association of Azerbaijani Youth

Deputy Chairman of the youth association of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Ramin Mammadov has been elected chairman of the World Association of Azerbaijani Youth at the Association's founding congress.

Also 39 members of the Association's Central Council and nine members of the Central Controlling and Auditing Commission were elected at the congress. At the end of the congress an appeal to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been adopted.

Declaration of the founding congress of the World Association of Azerbaijani youth has been adopted.

The declaration supports measures aimed at strengthening public concern about youth, education of the young generation in the spirit of patriotism and increase in intellectual capacity.

The declaration contains the calls to the international community to mobilize power for the sake of just solution to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, stresses that the work on informing the international community about terror and acts of genocide committed against the Azerbaijani people, the results of Armenian aggression is the sacred duty of all world Azerbaijanis.

The declaration states that the charter of the World Association of Azerbaijani youth has been approved, and within a month documents required for state registration will be submitted to the Justice Ministry, and an appeal will be sent to the relevant authorities on issue of providing with office.

The declaration calls for active participation of youth in the international campaign "Justice for Khojaly - Freedom for Karabakh", which is conducted by the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), a systematic work with international organizations, in particular with international youth organizations, the executive and legislative bodies of foreign states, the media, NGOs, in order to recognize the Khojaly tragedy as genocide in the world.

The Declaration provides for the establishment within a month of web page, and the establishment of organ of press of the World Association of Azerbaijani youth.
