Azerbaijani Parliament opens plenary meeting

Today, on March 7, a regular plenary meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament is taking place. During the meeting, the MPs will hear the annual report of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Elmira Suleymanova, and consider draft laws 'On the State care of persons suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS)', amendments to the Criminal Code, to the law 'On drug service and control' and some changes in the administrative territorial division of the Tovuz region.

MPs are also expected to ratify intergovernmental agreements signed with Lithuania, Russia, USA, Israel, Bulgaria. They are also expected to discuss the abolition of the laws 'On the distinctive sign of the customs authorities of Azerbaijan' and 'On the flag of the customs authorities of Azerbaijan'.
