Azerbaijani, Pakistani ruling parties mull coop

The ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) and Pakistan discussed prospects of cooperation.

NAP Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary Ali Ahmedov met with Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Inayatullah Kakar at the party's headquarters on Monday.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the current situation in the friendship relations and cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. They also stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries, as well as between the NAP and the Pakistan People's Party.

Mr Ahmedov informed Ambassador Kakar about the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijan's policy for the peaceful resolution of this conflict. He expressed his gratitude for the fact that the Pakistani Senate has recognized the Khojaly genocide committed by Armenian vandals.
