'Azerbaijan turned intoleader of Caucasus'

The Azerbaijani diplomat appearing at “Egrisi Dogrusu” debate on CNN Türk, Turkish version of the popular cable news channel CNN, spoke about the terrible Khojaly massacre.

In the program hosted by Taha Akyol, press attaché of the Azerbaijan embassy to Turkey Elsever Salmanov said that committed by Armenians, the Khojaly genocide has been taken for granted as it has numerous eyewitnesses and lots of other proofs such as the photographs, video and other documents.

Up to date, the Khojaly genocide was recognized by the parliaments of Pakistan, Mexico, and Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, Salmanov said. Taha Akyol, in turn, said that Azerbaijan has turned into the leader of Caucasus and its growing influence is obvious.

“Turkey needs Azerbaijan’s support in the fight against the propaganda of the so-called "Armenian genocide," the journalist said.
