24 February 2012 [18:56] - TODAY.AZ
The Azerbaijani Parliament has made a decision on the Khojaly genocide at a meeting on Friday.

The decision tells about the atrocities committed in Khojaly by Armenian butchers, and the Khojaly genocide was called a black spot, lying on the conscience of humanity. The decision noted that the investigative authorities of Azerbaijan have identified 39 individuals who committed crimes in Khojaly.

The decision also says the activities carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" have been expanding from year to year and that the previous decisions of the Azerbaijani Parliament about the Khojaly massacre once again have been approved as genocide.

The decision emphasized that the Azerbaijani MPs during foreign visits, including during participation in the activities of international organizations, provided for the wide spread of reality about the acts of genocide suffered by the Azerbaijanis in the last hundred years, including the Khojaly tragedy. For this purpose they must effectively and fully use the capabilities of the working groups of the Parliament on relations with parliaments of foreign countries.

The decision noted that law enforcement authorities should find all those who participated in the perpetration of an act of genocide in Khojaly, strengthen the measures undertaken to bring them to justice.

The decision also states that the relevant government and non-state actors, including NGOs, are instructed to disseminate information about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, join forces to expose the false Armenian propaganda.
