Khojaly days in due Germany

An event entitled “Khojaly Days in Germany” dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy will be organized in Berlin on February 23-26, according to Azerbaijan`s embassy to the country.

The event to be organized by the embassy and the “Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh” Public Union will be realized within the cooperation with the Institute for European Studies, Germany-Azerbaijan Forum, Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany and Baku-Berlin Gallery.

The event will be held in the historical building “Palais am Festungsgraben”. The event to bring together MPs of Bundestag, German officials, journalists and members of Azerbaijani Diaspora in the country will start by visiting the Khojaly monument in the city.

The attendees will witness the opening of the exhibitions “Khojaly tragedy through eyes of the children” and “Aghdam – city of ghosts”. The event will also feature presentation of books by Rudiger Kipke “Azerbaijan-Armenia relations and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict” and the Canadian author Scott Taylor`s “Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan: irreconcilable differences”, as well as a round-table entitled “Khojaly - through the eyes of witnesses”.

The participants will be fully informed about the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign, and will watch a performance of Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theatre`s actors, dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy, supported by Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as watch films about life story of Anar from Khojaly, and “We will be back”.
