Azerbaijan-UAE ties highlighted

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Elkhan Gahramanov has met with chairman of the country`s Federal National Council Mohammad Ahmad Al-Murr. During the meeting, they discussed current state of political and economic relations between the two countries, reciprocal visits and signed documents.

The parties praised the activity of the intergovernmental economic commission. They noted opening of the UAE embassy in Azerbaijan would contribute to strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the countries even more.

The creation of the Azerbaijan-UAE friendship group in the Azerbaijani parliament was hailed at the meeting. The ambassador also briefed Al-Murr on Azerbaijan`s economy, agriculture and tourism sector. Gahramanov invited Al-Murr to visit Azerbaijan on behalf of Milli Majlis chairman Ogtay Asadov.
