‘Azerbaijan’s opposition lacks intelligible political ideology’

Azerbaijan’s Green Party Chairman Mais Gulaliyev believes the Azerbaijani opposition lacks intelligible political ideology. He said the main disadvantage of the Azerbaijani political parties is that they do not have a clear, comprehensible ideology.

Just because of this, the country’s public does not follow the opposition. They do not have a clear program and they do not know what they will do in case of being in power, he believes.

"As these parties, particularly Musavat Party, which most tends to come to power, has no ideology, they exhibit all the other shortcomings. For example, Musavat failed to hold a congress, as it was not able to prepare a normal second leader, who would support the ideology of Musavat, people gathered around it,” Gulaliyev said.
 
Therefore, the Congress members will try to keep Isa Gambar in his post by any means. "The party understands that if Isa Gambar leaves, then the party’s funding will be stopped. The party is funded from outside thanks to the trust only to Gambar,” he noted.
