'Opposition's "troika" format does not exis'

The "troika" format does not exist as the Classic Popular Front Party decided to act in a new position and to participate in the new movement, chairman of the Citizens and Development party Ali Aliyev told Trend today. "We respectfully consider this decision."

This will not affect the relations of other parties represented in the "troika," Aliyev said. "Our allied relations with the Liberal Party have been existing since 2005," he said. He stressed that other parties participated in the discussions, but he did not call them. Expressing his attitude to the organizations created in the opposition, Aliyev said that this leads to the fact that the situation in the opposition camp becomes more transparent and specific.

"There is a clear situation from an organizational point of view," he said. "This leads to the union of parties, whose positions are relatively close. The relatively small organizations are a factor that contributes to the achievement of universal understanding within the opposition as a whole." The opposition "troika" included the Citizens and Development party, Classic Popular Front Party and Liberal Party of Azerbaijan.
