President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva inspect Aziz Aliyev Institute of Advanced Medical Studies - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva yesterday familiarized themselves with the newly-reconstructed Azerbaijan State Institute for Advanced Medical Studies named after Aziz Aliyev. Azerbaijan`s Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev informed the Head of State that the Institute was established in November, 1935. The reconstruction of the facility started in 2010.

The President was briefed on the history of the center. The Institute employs 427 people. The center has rector`s office, dean's offices, departments and 130-bed surgery clinic, lab, library and other facilities. President Ilham Aliyev met with the Institute`s personnel.
