“Baku” magazine to issue English and Azerbaijani versions of its special

A popular international magazine “Baku” will issue English and Azerbaijani versions of special edition “Happy birthday, dear President,” timed to the 50th anniversary of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. The editor-in-chief of “Baku” magazine is Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.

The magazine publishes congratulations made to the President by spouse Mehriban Aliyeva, daughters Leyla and Arzu Aliyevs, son Heydar Aliyev, rector of the National Aviation Academy, academician Arif Pashayev, Director general of the National center of oncology Jamil Aliyev, head of Moscow State University`s branch in Baku, professor Nargiz Pashayeva. The magazine also covers congratulations of the well-known political figures, businessmen, workers of culture and art as well as residents from different regions of Azerbaijan.

The 182-page edition published articles on childhood and the youth of President Ilham Aliyev, his student years, political activity and numerous photos.  In the article “Heydar and Zarifa Aliyevs” illustrated with the family photos, writer and publicist Elmira Akhundova tells about Azerbaijan President`s remarkable parents – the world-known leader of the 20th century Heydar Aliyev and eminent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
