"France must be removed from OSCE MG"

France can not be considered an objective mediator in the Karabakh conflict, after adoption of a draft bill punishing the denial of the so-called Armenian ‘genocide’, Azerbaijani MP Ilyas Ismayilov said.

“France proved that it supports the Armenian side by adopting this law and should be withdrawn from the co-chairmanship in the OSCE Minsk Group on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” he said.

“Azerbaijan should support Turkey in this issue,” he underscored. “France had violated generally accepted rules, according to which the law has legal sanction only in its geographical location. Based on the international law, France should be responsible only for the historical events that occurred on its territory.  However they preferred to bring people to responsibility to for denial of the events that occurred hundred years ago in a completely different region.”
